De Anza President Search

The search for a De Anza College president

Chancellor Judy Miner has announced the process that will be used in searching for a president of De Anza College. You can find information here about the search and selection process along with updates as the search moves forward.

Dear Colleagues,

I’m writing to update you on the De Anza College president search and invite you to complete a survey about what you’d like to see in your president. This information will be used in developing a profile that will help us find candidates who are best matched to De Anza’s needs.

You can reach the survey here until it closes at midnight on Dec. 13:

I am pleased to report that Dr. Fran White, a principal with Community College Search Services, will be working with the president search committee as the district’s search consultant. Fran is a 33-year veteran of the California Community Colleges and has conducted many successful presidential searches. She got her start as a community college faculty member, served on the Academic Senate, became a dean, and went on to become a college president and chancellor multiple times. We are truly fortunate to have the assistance of someone so experienced and knowledgeable about community colleges.

The search committee met for first time last week. If you'd like to know a little more, the timeline for the search and the committee membership roster are posted here.

Please take the time to fill out the survey so that your thoughts are represented. I would like to have input from the widest possible spectrum of people who make up the De Anza community.

Warmest regards,
