Dear Foothill-De Anza Community,
The California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, including our District, have
been impacted by a security issue with BankMobile, a vendor used to provide financial aid disbursements to students at Foothill College
and De Anza College.
All electronic financial Aid digital disbursements are temporarily paused at this
time.
What we know so far
BankMobile experienced a nation-wide security breach October 1, 2026. Out of an abundance
of caution, the District is pausing all digital or electronic financial aid payments.
While most students have received their financial aid disbursements, students still
expecting a financial aid refund in the coming days may experience a delay. Financial
aid awards have not been canceled, and students do not have to take any action at
this time.
Next steps
Information is still limited and the situation is evolving. We will keep you informed
as we learn more.
In the meantime, should your students have questions, please email or phone the financial
aid office.
